What a fricking wild ride!

It’s been such a long time since I have spent time here. It feels so weird not to blog. It really does. I wish I could say I had good reason. Only a few of you know why I’m not. I wish I could get past it, but it’s hard.

Grad school takes most of my weekends lately. I try not to give it too much of my weeknights, but then things have been so busy lately. I’ve got an ‘A’ in both classes. I guess I’m happy about it. Actually, I really did enjoy the midterm for the online class. It really made me think about things. I also liked writing my paper. What’s not to like? My topic was “Blogging as a Collaborative Learning Tool.” Made sense to me.

Mom was here last week. She made me put the house together. I worked my bootie off. I moved furniture, I put pictures on the wall. I spent hours at Home Depot and Expo Center. We bought rugs and a shade for my room. Four days she was here. I enjoyed having her home, but next time, I want to have a bit more fun and a little less work.

This weekend I’m watching Missey Andrea’s Mom’s dog. Heidi is growling. She has been growling for about two hours. I tell her to be quiet, but it doesn’t work. She still growls. Daisy really wants to play with her, but she really isn’t interested. Poor Daisy. She is just an old lady, happy to have a little company. Heidi is a funny little puppy, who misses her mommy. It’s a sad little combo, isn’t it. I think Heidi will get used to being here in a couple of days. I would imagine, right around the time that it’s time for her to go.

Also this weekend in the scarf-a-thon at Knitting Arts. I pay $30 and bring my knitting needles, and they provide the yarn. All the scarfs that we make are donated to charity. It took me all week to find a team, and I have to knit from 2am – 6am. Besides that I’m going to be exhausted, I’m really looking forward to it. I’m hoping to meet some new people, and maybe win a prize or two.

In just over two weeks, I’m going to be on a plane to visit Snidget. I am so looking forward to a vacation. We are going to New Orleans. You know, I’m going to look up that cute bartender and forget he is married. Sounds like fun to me.

One last thing… Spoil-a-Blogger. I think Snidge and I have a great thing going here, and the group is going to be very managable. If you’ve been on the fence about it, do it. It won’t kill you, and you are going to have a blast. I promise.

Ok, so that is my update. I’m tired. I’m off to bed.

Comments

  1. The scarf-a-thon sounds interesting.  I just finished my very first scarf!  Reading about everyone knitting made me want to learn how so I’m trying to teach myself.

  2. Hope everything is going okay!  I’m sure glad to see you blogging again smile

  3. A scarf-knit-a-thon? For four hours? At 2 AM?

    You’re dedicated, woman.
