So much to say…  Can I really tell it all in one post?

I think maybe I can’t.  Maybe I should start at the beginning.  It’s a very good place to start.  If you ask John, the beginning is November 6, 2006.  It is the date I sent the first email.  Who even knows what it says at this point…  Wait, John knows.  There were several emails exchanged.  Then, 3 very long phone calls.  The last phone call ended with a discussion about carmels and Paris…

What I can say is this…  The first meeting was Saturday, November 18, 2006.  He walked in the door, all 6’5” of him…  Light brown hair, hazel eyes, cute Irish nose…  Sat down at my computer, and booked a trip to Dublin, Ireland for Thanksgiving.  Our first date, we planned our first international trip.  Insane, isn’t it?  Honestly, I thought it was the most romantic thing that had ever happened to me in my life.  He brought See’s carmels, even though he knew that P’Nut Crunch was my favorite (it was the reason we were going to Dublin).  Ok so we didn’t book a trip to Paris because I’m too cheap.  I wouldn’t pay more than $1000 for a flight to Paris, not when we could go to Dublin for much less.  Ok, so maybe it didn’t turn out that way, but we all know about me and Ireland.

After booking our trip, we left to have a meal at Willow Street, and then saw Casino Royale.  It was a nice evening, and as far as dates go, a decent one.  Honestly, we haven’t spent much time apart since that night.  I can’t remember when we first kissed.  I don’t think it was the first date, but I could be wrong.  I know we held hands, and snuggled in the theatre.

On the Wedensday before Thanksgiving, my mom made us our own special Thanksgiving meal.  It was really yummy.  Thursday morning, we woke up, and drove to the airport…  I think I’ll tell you more in the next post.  Believe me.  You’ll like the story.
