today begins the first paid vacation that i’ve had since aspect laid me off 2 years ago. so mar, tire man and i are going to our nations capital to visit mr. bush… should prove to be interesting. the last time i traveled with mar, i had a hideous time, and i’m prepared for the same this time. the cool thing about this time is that i will not be dependant on anyone for transportation or company.
i’m guessing that the love birds will be hanging all over eachother, and that i’ll be the third girl out, as usual. so i’m going to go see all the things i missed when i was there for the cold fusion confernce 2.5 years ago. i know i’ve talked about the pollock, but there was a museum, the national portrait gallery, that was closed last time i was there… i’m hoping that it will be open this time. i’ve heard that there are lots of interesing pieces there.
sb has asked me to commit a felony, by breaking in to the exhibit where the old money is. i’m pretty sure that he isn’t going to get that. so there you go. mar bought a new camera, so i should get good pictures. i’m taking my camera too. it took beautiful pictures in ireland, so i figure, why not take it to washington too.
