saturday with mar

mom talked to mar before she got here and scheduled at “girls day” of whatever mar wanted to do, all day saturday. friday, as you know, we went to deke, and had a quiet evening at home. saturday morning came about, i got up, did my 30 minute walk with daisy and returned home. mom called mar shortly after i got home. she was informed that hootie had guitar lessons at 1:30 pm we were either going to have to have an early lunch, or a late lunch.

WAIT, lunch? what happened to a day? what happened to a “girls day”?

so, i was ready to go at 10:30, maybe a bit before… mom and mar already had picked a late lunch. i’m thinking great. late lunch, after 2:30. what is either of them thinking. at this point, what is the point? why did we need to see her, and plan our day around it? but we did, as we always do. it was wrong. it messed up our eating for the day, and mar didn’t talk about anything anyway. so there you go. no need to talk to her, unless she wants something anyway.

saturday night mom and i ended up watching movies. we watched high fidelity and real women have curves. both movies were good. believe it or not, my mother had not seen high fidelity. i was shocked. but i was happy to see it again. real women have curves is totally worth the time, especially if you can figure out how to turn the subtitles on (sorry cindy!). neither mom or i could believe the guilt factor used! never seen it used quite like that before. we gave both films two thumbs up!
