1. What’s the last place you traveled to, outside your own home state/country?
washinton dc, for 6 days, with the mar and tire man show. highlight? visiting the pollock at the national gallery and finding the cockroach.
2. What’s the most bizarre/unusual thing that’s ever happened to you while traveling?
the cow traffic jam. traveling out of dingle on the N-86, which is a minor road, we are traveling along, minding our own business, and out on the road ahead is a huge heard of cows. there are two men following behind, moving them from one field to another. i start cracking up! thinking this would never happen in california! i pull the camera out and start taking pictures! then i notice, coming up fast from behind, a delivery truck. it starts weaving from side to side, showing his impatience in having to wait for the cows. i’m going slow, as i don’t really care, i’m in no hurry. i gave the cows lots of room, and just was calm about the whole thing… then the truck passed me! that cracked me up even more! the truck tailgated the cows until they were all in the new field. he then took off like a bat out of hell, and i went back along my way. 
3. If you could take off to anywhere, money and time being no object, where would you go?
back to ireland. no questions. but this time i’d go looking for old tombs and take a car ride over to england and see stonehenge again… i love that stuff.
4. Do you prefer traveling by plane, train or car?
car. i love to drive. i always am a bit nervous on a plane, and i’ve only been on a train once.
5. What’s the next place on your list to visit?
hmm. i have no vacation time, so i’m not really thinking about it. i think ireland, i always pick ireland. but i’d like to go back to france and see the countryside, and new zealand. that would be cool too.
