last night during dinner, the rocker asked me: “did you hear about the asteroid that came within 26,500 miles of hitting the earth today?” WHAT? where the hell was i yesterday? how much news have i really been missing?
so, i have investigated the story. apparently 2004 FH, was discovered on monday, and is only about 100 feet in diameter. an asteriod this size, if it actually hit the earth, would more than likely burn up in the atmosphere. it might break some windows on the ground, but that is about it.
and here i was worried.
sometimes i wish i was as interested in current events as my mom or even the go fish. but then, i think, isn’t it so much better to oblivious?
