MAX 2004 - Day 3 finalized.

Dinner Tuesday night was awesome. I met up with my friend Dan from Aspect and his wife Jeanette. I had been looking forward to seeing him for weeks. I knew his would be the only friendly face I would see.

We ended up going to Mulate’s. I had red beans and rice, ice tea and chocolate carmel cheesecake with pecans for dessert. I, my friends, am a very lucky girl. My food was excellent, and so was the company. Honestly, I like red beans and rice. I’m going to have to figure out how to make it here. I can’t imagine it would be too difficult. It came with a huge piece of sausage. It also seemed to have chicken in there somewhere. In the end, I could only eat half. It was a shame, because it was so good.

I ordered dessert because Jeanette ordered dessert, and if I’m going to have dessert, I’m not going to share. Needless to say it was delicious, and I didn’t eat it all. I didn’t think I would. But, I wanted to say that I at least tried. And I did. I tried.

We walked and talked a bit after dinner, and then I went back to my room. I remembered that I had written out my postcards Monday night, so I decided to go down to the front desk and buy my stamps.

Karen (was in class with me on Monday) found me on the way back to my room and asked me if I wanted to get a glass of wine with her at the bar. I said yes. I figured that I had nothing else better to do, and why should I stay up in my room when I could watch the election results downstairs with everyone else.

The two of us ended up flirting with the bartender for more than two hours. I told them all about how my cousin wears my clothes and good things happen. I wear my clothes and nothing happens. The bartender said

Is she as hot as you?

Way to shut a girl up. I had no idea what to say to that. I know I’m cute. I know I am. Beautiful? Hot? Yeah, ok, you must be on drugs. However, no one since the rocker has said that to me, so I accepted said compliment after about 10 minutes of silence.

At 11:30, I finally crashed, and went to bed. I had an awesome evening, and I couldn’t wait for session in the morning.
