What a busy week!

Oh my goodness! What a week! I’m going to start with NYC. Then I’ll move on to the rest…

I just adore Snidget! Seriously, I do! It took me forever to get to the hotel, but when I got there, I walked in and said “are you ready for some company?” She gave me a huge hug, and then it was like we had known each other for years!

After a pretty restless night, I think the excitment of having a weekend in NYC was keeping us up, we ended up at Bliss. We had the most expensive pedicure that I think I will ever have. Seriously. I think we paid over $100. Now Snidge said it was worth it, I’m still not so sure, although I did ruin my polish before we even left the salon. smile I think the difference is the lotions. I’m going to take the product over to my normal pedicure place and see.

When we were done, we found the cutest shoe store called Jubilee on Lexington Avenue… I got two pairs of Chocolat brand shoes. I’ve never see the brand before, and they are so cute! I really should take pictures, but you know me.

We walked and walked up Lexington from like 40th to 80th, I think. We ended up on Madison Avenue at Le Sports Sac where I bought this bag. Isn’t it the cutest? We went into a couple of really pricey stores, and then I realized that we were near the Met. We walked over and had lunch in the cafeteria. There was this wonderful exhibit on the armored horse in Europe. Super cool. They had some of Henry VIII’s armor. It was here that Snidge and I realized that we both enjoyed learing about his reign in history.

Smartly, we took a taxi back to the hotel and took a much needed nap before we went to see Wicked.

Before the play, we went and had dinner at Hell’s Kitchen, where we had Sweet Plantain Gorditas with Goat Cheese & Salsa Verde, and let me tell you, they were TO DIE FOR. So yummy.

Let me tell you, I adored Wicked. It was wonderful. I think Snidge was a bit disappointed because she said it was really different from the book. I think I’m kinda glad that I didn’t read the book before. Now I can read the book and think about how much different things could have been.

Saturday morning started off late, and with a TON of walking…
