The 1:00 am War

Last night the cat seemed very intent on sleeping in the bed with John and I.  She hopped in early, and went to sleep in between us.  Daisy, of course was at our feet, snoring away.

At 1:00 am, I hear Daisy, trying to jump in the bed.  Who knows how long she had been trying, but I heard John say, “you can do it!” and up jumped Daisy, happy as can be to go back to sleep.  I have no idea what she was doing, or where she had been, but it is very weird for her to be up at that time.  I’m thinking she was kicked out, and just wanted back in.

Once Daisy was in the bed, Girl started hissing.  Then Daisy decided to go find Girl, she walked around John and in between the two of us.  Girl attacked.  I’m sure that Daisy thought it was a game, at least I hope so.  Next thing I hear is scratching and hissing and then claws up and down my stomach.  I jump out of bed in time to hear Girl run out of the bedroom, out the cat door.

I yelled at Girl and John, and wanted to kick the cat out of the house for the night.  John was willing, but then I felt bad.  It was Halloween and all, it’s scary out there.

I wish that she could figure out Daisy can’t hurt her.  And more than that, that Daisy doesn’t want to hurt her.  She is just a going blind diabetic who thinks it’s fun to play with something her own size.

In other news, my Seattle pictures (including my stash additions) are on Flikr.  I’ll try to write about them tomorrow.

BTW…  yet another letter from my Secret Pal was waiting for me when I got home from Seattle on Sunday night.  She has such an interesting life!  It makes me wish I was doing fun things too!

Hey Melissa!  Hope you didn’t get too scared watching those movies (but I hope you ate a bunch of candy!).
