Lots of work done at the expo!

I went to Scrapbook Expo knowing that I wanted to do a ton of work.  Well, I’m a really slow worker…  Add the chatting and the eating and the “farting around” and I get a LO done every 3 hours or so.  Ridiculous, I know.  However, I had a BLAST with Lisa, Lei, and Serena!  I would have done more, but we got our Design Team box on Saturday afternoon, and I spend the morning putting a album “kit” together for a coworker of John’s.

Next week I’m going to start working on getting my new WordPress blog set up, and totally change my design.  I figure it has been literally years since I’ve had a redesign, and I’d like to try out a new format.  So…  Watch for links to products and more work of mine.

One of Sean’s favorite memories of this summer was our backyard camp out with Riley and Katie.  We had so much fun in the tents!  And the best part?  Having an extra mattress so that we could all sleep on regular beds, rather than on the ground!  Riley was a bit scared of Henry, but he got over it and we had a great time!

This summer we went to Gilroy Gardens on the weekend that Max from Max and Ruby was at the park.  We had to go and see him.  We met up with Sam, Jessica, and Benji at the park, and convinced them to go to the “Dance Party.” Sean loved seeing one of his favorite characters in public, and getting to dance with him!  Fun was had by all!

One of my most favorite photos of Sean and I is this one.  He always wants to have a “photo op” and then the sticks out his tongue.  I love seeing that he can be so relaxed with me, and just let it all hang out.

I LOVE to have Opa! in Willow Glen for lunch on the weekends.  We do it often.  I also love Hicklebees, which happens to be right next door.  This time, John got in line, and Sean and I went to buy a book or two to read while we were waiting.  This book was DW goes to Preschool.  I read it first, and then John read it.  John was so animated, and Sean was so engaged that I just had to take some shots.

First time roller blading.  Let’s just say that he tried hard, and didn’t fall down.  I’ll be surprised if he tries again.

I know that he will try to ride on two wheels again, but I don’t think it will be this summer.  Maybe next year.  He is pretty scared of the whole thing.

John decided to go to the Alameda Flea Market one Sunday morning.  The best part for Sean was the front end of the fighter jet from WWII that they had on display before you could go in.  Sean climbed right in and started taking about bombs and guns…  I thought it was important to capture his awe and interest…

I really thought I needed to document our grow boxes and what we “try” to grow every year.  This year it’s cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and strawberries.  We have been successful, but this shot was awesome!
