bahama mama challenge

my diet has been in full force for the past week. i’m pretty sure i’m down 2.5 lbs. i’ve been journaling to beat the band, i’ve been walking at lunch and with daisy at night, and i’ve been trying to drink all my water!

this morning i was over at put down the donut reading joelle’s post on the bahama mama challenge. i think 50 lbs by january 15th may be a bit hard for me, but i’m going to try her challenge!

now, at one point i lost 35 lbs on weight watchers. i gained 15 back, but i’m still down 20. i know i can lose my weight, and now after my dad’s heart attack and stroke, i’m very motivated. so i’m going to do this challenge. i’m starting a sub blog to log my eating and exercise.

wish me luck guys! i know if i lose 50 by jan 15, i’ll be estatic, and very healthy!

  1. Good for you! It took me 8 years (about ) to lose the 87lbs it took for me to hit my ideal weight (just in time for my wedding). Prob b/c I was mixing and matching diets and taking time off of diets the whole time. I’ve put back 20 since October, and I’m worried the next 67lbs are right behind that 20! So – I’ve started an excel spreadsheet to monitor my health as well. I just want to maintain what it took me almost 8 years to accomplish – – – and thats tough enough! so good for you. Have you been to Losing the Cow yet? She’s got an amazing gift to write about weight loss. She’s lost over 100lbs. She’s fantastic.

I’ll shut up now. I’m cheering you on!

  2. Wow! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. Will you post your progress? Would love to read that someone actually CAN do it.

  3. Good luck! I know you can do it!

  4. Well, no one is saying you have to lose 50 lbs by then. I’m not 100% sure I can do it, but I’m going to try… through healthy means.
