A really nice little thing…

One of the things that I thought I was going to miss the most about my old house was the fact that my old dog Pete was there. My mom and I had talked about the fact that Pete’s ghost was in the old house, and that you could see him out of the corner of your eye every once in a while. She thought that Pete would come with us to the new house. I wasn’t so sure. I mean, was I really seeing a ghost, or did I just want to see him?

So, Monday night I was making cookies for work. I don’t normally spend alot of time in the kitchen, it not very workable, and I feel so confined in there. I promised to make cookies, so there I was, in the kitchen. Wouldn’t you know it? Out of the corner of my eye, there went a white streak. I thought it might have been Daisy, but she was in the backyard. I went back to making cookies, and there he was again! Sitting in the door way between the hallway and kitchen. This calming happiness washed over me. It was really strange.

Today, the same thing happened. I was doing laundry, and here comes the white streak. I called for Daisy, and got no response. I think Pete was watching me do laundry from the kitchen. How funny is that?

I’m not sure how much of this paranormal stuff I believe in, but I swear Pete came to the house last week. I don’t know where he was before, or if I just didn’t notice him before now… I just know that I’m really happy he is here. I missed him.
