SP11 Questions (ok, more questions)

1.  What is the one knitting accessory you could not live without?
Hmm…  I’d say there are two of them.  I love my swift and my winder.  They make life so much easier!

2.  If you’re heading on vacation, do you take knitting with you?  If so, how much and what type of project?
I normally do.  I take something that does not require a lot of thought, like a scarf.  I always try to bring enough to complete 2.  Always hoping that I will finish at least one on the plane ride there, and one on the plane ride home.

3.  Where have you traveled to that you’d consider your favorite spot?
My absolutely FAVORITE spot is Ireland.  I adored the Aran Islands, while it poured outside, I spend almost 2 hours talking to a woman who was knitting in a sweater store.  It was one of my best memories.  I would go back again and again and again.  John says we aren’t going back for a while, but, I think I will change his mind.  he knows I love it so!

4.  What is your favorite knitting book at the moment?  Do you own it?
Great question!  I’m really keen on Nicky Epstein right now.  I love her knitted flowers, and I just received Felting Never Felt Better and Knitting Beyond the Edge: Cuffs and Collars*Necklines*Hems*Closures as a wedding gift from my friend Susanna in London.  Great choice of gifts, I think.  I mean really, does a girl really need 3 sets a sheets?  I think not.  BTW, I got 4 Starwars Lightsabers.  I thought TWO would be plenty, but 4?!?

5.  Do you listen to podcasts?  Which is your favorite(s)?
I do!  I really like This American Life, Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me, and the Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack.  Knitting podcasts, I ADORE!  I subscribe to the following (alphabetical order, right from iTunes): Cast On, CraftyPod, Damknit, “It’s a Purl, Man”, Knit Picks’ Podcast (love this one), Knit Views, Knit Cast, knitTherapy, Knitting News Cast, Lime & Violet, “Ready, Set, Knit”, Secret Knitting, She-Knits Podcast (also a fave!), Stash and Burn (fave, fave, fave!), Sticks & String Podcast, Stitch Stud and His Bride, Two Six Knits, and Yarn Thing.  I thinks thats it…  I might have missed one or two.

Wait, you only wanted favorites…  Hmm.  Well, it’s hard to chose.  Oh, yeah.  Tiki Bar TV is pretty good too.
