Feeling bad

So this week, I’ve been scouring my SP’s blog to see what she likes to knit, what she doesn’t like to knit, what she has said she wanted in the past…  You know, general ideas on how to spoil her best.

Then I thought about my own blog…  and if it was any help at all to MY pal.  I’m beginning to think no.  It’s not like I’m a sock knitter.  That makes things super easy, I think.  I’m just not.  And the thought of knitting on size two needles really does make me sick to my tummy.  Then, I haven’t participated in an SP since I think #7.  So, it’s not super easy to go looking back at my archives and see what I got in the past, and what I did with it.

This got me to thinking…  Hell, I’m pregnant, what do I want to knit in my last 5 months or so of freedom?

  • I’ve always wanted to knit cleves.  I think it is beautiful, and I’m always cold.  It would be great to wear when I’m super pregnant too!
  • I’ve always been successful knitting this: #111 Elaine Hooded Child’s Cardigan, without the hood.  Both Anne and Andrea used theirs up…  I think Rowyn is using his up too.  I think I’ve made three…  I just don’t remember.
  • I’ve been hearing a LOT about the baby kimono sweater from Mason Dixon Knitting and Interweave Knits Summer 2005.  I’m pretty sure I have the issue (I NEVER throw anything away), so maybe that should be on the list, and Mason Dixon Knitting is available from the library (I’ve had it once)  I can photocopy…  I am giving birth in February maybe it’s time to start knitting for the baby.
  • I’ve got enough wool to make like 15 purses, I could make some.  They aren’t hard.

Oh god, I don’t know.  I feel like I should be helpful, but I’m just not.  See, I’ve even changed my train of thought since I started this post.  When will my mind come back?

Besides, I’m not sure if this was helpful to my pal or not.  I’ve not really offered up any suggestions, just a bunch of project ideas.  Interesting, aren’t I.  Pregnant confused lady…  God help my pal!

  1. Acutally, I think this post is helpful because it gives me some direction to go in. I was planning on doing some shopping over labor day weekend because I will have time off then. Do you have colors in mind for those projects?

  2. I’m glad you liked the books!

  3. oops.. that comment was meant for another post.
