It’s been, well, a weekend

It’s a good thing that my Secret Pal (Hey Melissa!) sent me a box last week, because I really needed to re-look at everything by Saturday night.

I got to work on Friday, got my oatmeal, and set it on my desk when my phone started ringing…  It was my sister.  My mom dislocated her hip, again.  This time she was picking up something she had dropped.  I had a presentation at 10, so I called my mom to ask her if she needed me right away, or if I could do my presentation.  She said, she didn’t need me, that’s why she didn’t call me.  I told her that I would come home after lunch to take care of her.

So, I had, well, a BAD presentation… No shocker there, my mind was totally someplace else.  I was accused of being too negative, and putting the blame on Clinton for the ATI project.  Yeah, well, every other department wants to blame someone.  Normally they are trying to blame me.  So, I let people know about the law.  That is my job.  I have to know the law, and try to deflect all that blame from the project, so that we can actually work.

I went home after the presentation and made spinach dip.  I really love it, and the baby seems to love it too…

Mom got home about 2, and was sore, but ok.  The EMT’s really messed her up this time, she has bruises all over her arms.  But, like I said, she is really no worse for the wear.  But she does have to have surgery…  Sooner than later to replace the lining in her artificial hip.  I would imagine it will be in the next two weeks.

Around 4, my Aunt Dee called me to tell me about my Dad’s surgery that happened on Friday.  He was getting that Bile Duct problem fixed.  Come to find out, he has a mass in his small intestine.  Andrea is convinced that it is Cancer.  Who knows, but we will on Tuesday.  He will be having surgery sooner than later as well.  I would imagine next week.  If he decides to have the mass removed.  I haven’t gotten that he is thinking that way right now.  I asked him the question, he is waiting to see if it really is Cancer.  Hmm.

So, Saturday John and I went to his mom’s house to help her with her laundry and grocery shopping because she tore her miniscus, that muscle behind the knee two weeks ago.  We did all of her “tasks” and then went to visit my dad, who looks like crap.

Sunday, John and I worked on his house, trying to get it ready to rent.  It’s far from ready, and well, we need to hire a cleaner and and a painter.  Oh well.  A few more weekends and we will be done.

Today Mom tells me that she will be having surgery either next week or the week after…

I’m exhausted.  Really I am.  Can I go back to bed now?
