A Stream in the Sky

I can’t believe how crafty I’ve been as of late. It’s like my mojo trapped by my appendix, and when it came out, so did it.

Yesterday,  I printed pictures for two LOs.  And, that Heidi Swapp is still hanging out on my desk.  I also was listening to an old Paperclipping Round Table, that featured May Flaum.  She was talking about small letters that she was running out of…  Which reminded me that I still have a TON of those Sassafras letters!  So I pulled out a color that “went” with the Heidi line, and then added the My Minds Eye Lime Twist circle letters (my absolute favorite)…  and don’t you know it 20 minutes later, it was done.

LO: Pontcysylle Aqueduct

I’m so loving how my personal style is so obvious to me now.  I’ve always tried to copy others, or try to incorporate other peoples craftyness…  And while inspiration is great, I really was having a hard time with my own style.  Which really is picture and title centered.  I love making titles, and having pictures and not product be my focus.  This really does showcase that!

A little about the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct…  It’s 126 feet above the ground.  It’s 11’10” wide…  and I swear the bars along the 1,007 feet across are big enough for Sean to easily walk through.  It was one of the scariest things I have done.  As I was walking across, alone as the boys walk faster, more than one person said that I looked petrified.  And, I was.  When they passed me, I was so freaked out.  But, I know that I need to do things that scare me so that Sean knows that even though you are afraid, you still do it.  I would have regretted it if I had waited at one side and watched them leave…  It was worth it…  Even when I realized that I still had to walk back across.

Do you scrap the things that scare you?  I’d love to hear about it.
