snarkyness

i belong to two discussion groups, sf-wow and wjg. i don’t talk much on either group, unless i have something to say about the topic. when i was looking for work, i asked for help about finding a contact at peta. i got a nasty email back about the fact that i really didn’t want to work for them, and didn’t i know how horrible they were. no, i didn’t do a bit of research about an organization before i asked if anyone had a contact there. come on.

anyway, about a month ago, sf-wow decided that they needed to add a politics header. there was tons of bickering back and forth about the war, what it meant, and what people wanted to do about it. the politics header has gotten down right snarky. people are rude to eachother, they say nasty things, things that you wouldn’t say to a stranger, let alone someone who you are in a community with. i decided yesterday that i didn’t want to hear anymore about politics on sf-wow. i wasn’t the only one. today, our list-mom kayla, told us that people were now unsubscribing to the list because of the bad behavior.

i think it is really sad when people can’t think about what they are saying, before they say something so mean to someone in front of someone else.

i’m not going to unsubscribe, but i have made it so i can’t read the politics header. i’ve got my own drama. i don’t want to read that. speaking of drama. sb and i have worked it out. i’m going to try and not talk about future dreams, and he is going to remember to tell me when he is having an “stressing moment”. you know, when he smiles at me, all the confusion goes away. his eyes tell me so much more than his mouth does sometimes. i just melt when he looks at me.

i think that we are going to be so good together. i so enjoy him. oh, yeah. did i tell you he is a cheater? we played yahtzee last night, and he tried to jip me out of 30 whole points. like i don’t do math. that is the last time that he gets to do the math. i bet he gave himself extra points too. he was just mad that he didn’t get the bonus on the top part, like i did. and that he didn’t get yahtzee. he was irritated about that too.
