ms. carol has returned home from her 3 month vacation in switzerland. i must say, i'm glad to have her back. it's been pretty lonely on the block without her. but... i think i should be a tad bit concerned about my relationship with my dog, now that carol is back. carol and sue brought back a bag full of toilet paper / paper towel rolls for daisy. there must be 25 of them, but i'm thinking 50... those of you who know daisy, know that she loves cardboard. she tears the stuff up and leaves … [Read more...]

this afternoon nancy and i went down to sjsu to take some photos for her eharmony profile. i think we did a pretty good job. miss nancy is much more photogenic than i am... but she things just the opposite. she did take a pretty good picture of me. i'm laughing. not many people can catch me laughing, and make me look good on top of it. it was hotter than all today, i know that at one point, my car said it was 100 degrees out there! can you believe it. and yet miss nancy and i went out … [Read more...]

so, this morning i dropped my mother off at the airport at o'dark:30. ok, well more like 6:45. i decided that if i was going to be over there, i should go to wilsons and have a custard puff. what a great breakfast... light fluffy dough, custard and chocolate glaze. ummm. so, i did it. i got two. is that bad, or what. i got one for breakfast, and one for mid-afternoon. did i need this caloric intake, god no! but, it sure was yummy. … [Read more...]

tonight i will be all by myself. for the first time since my mom got here, i will be in the house alone. no friends, no mom, just me and the do. i think daisy is going to be tickled pink. i know i am. big brother is on at 9, and i am going to be there, on the couch, by myself. it sounds so decadent, so luscious, an evening alone... i know that in a weeks time, i will wish that my mom had been home with me, rather than with mar... but for now, i'm so excited not to have to entertain … [Read more...]

this morning mom and i got up and started looking for garage sales. i wasn't really sure what we were looking for, but, i was thinking some art for the house would be nice. we started out by our house, and then decided to head to palo alto rather than los altos. yes, los altos can have great sales, but palo alto didn't have an arts & wine festival this weekend. we decided to stay away from the crouds. we saw some nice framed, signed art at one of our first stops. the guy wanted … [Read more...]
