Knitting Updates!

Well, all I can say is that baby is kicking me up a storm.  I am convinced that I am black and blue inside.  I am also convinced that this is a boy baby, not a girl baby as John promised me.  Wait, like he can promise such a thing.  He can’t.  But I can try and force him to take the blame on the gender of this baby.  Actually, I’ve decided to blame the shrub.  You know, if we were not at war, the odds of me having a girl would be MUCH better!

I have to apologize to my Secret Pal.  I’ve not been helping her AT ALL with hints about what to get for me.  I’m sorry for that.  I don’t know what to get me either.  All I can say is PINK is always good.

Also, another note to my pal.  Apparently Rowyn has a very big head, and the hat was too small!  Can you believe it?  I couldn’t.  Rowyn’s mommy was very happy to have the hat, but sad that it didn’t fit.  She thanks you for the thought.  smile

But, I can tell you that I have been knitting.  Let’s start with the soft thing first…
heaven yarn

Some Plymouth Heaven Yarn is turning into a corner to corner baby blanket.  It is so dang soft, it puts everything else I’m knitting to shame.  I keep holding it up to my face and snuggling in it.  Yummy blanket to be!

Next is the Mikey Liked It Sweater, from the pattern that my pal sent me.  Isn’t it so cute?  Ok, so I’ve only finished the back and almost 1/2 of the front…  But I really like the marbling that I’m getting from double stranding.  Thanks for the pattern pal, you made a great pick.

Finally, I’ve almost finished the Kermie sweater made with Schaefer Elaine.  I just need to seam up the arms and add the buttons.  Unfortunately, I don’t have the patience to do finishing work right now.  So, it’s kinda in a stand-still right now…  But you can totally see how cute it really is!

That’s what is going on.  Tonight I start prenatal yoga.  Wish me luck.  I’ve not exercised in at least 2 years.

Comments

  1. Well… y’know, you CAN actually blame John for the sex of the baby, technically… he does have the pesky “Y” chromosome to bring to the table, after all….
