I’m in Seattle!

Last week, I got this absolutely wonderful little book, made by my secret pal.  It tells me all kinds of things about her, including that she loves REM too, which is totally awesome!  I have not taken a picture yet.  However, it is on my coffee table, so that I can look at it.  It’s so cute, made out of paper bags and little paper notes and even has some cute knitted pink mittens on one of the pages.  I so love getting mail, and my pal is so good at sending me little notes.  I LOVE this mail.  It makes me feel so special, when it seems that all anyone wants to talk to me about is the baby!

I also won a contest last week.  Totally unexpected.  I never win things.  Of course, I won sock yarn…  However it’s totally cute, and yes, I have NOT taken a picture yet.  I donated some cash to Adelle, well to Adelle’s charity in her name, and she sent me a prize!  In addition, she sent me a pattern AND another skein of yarn so that I can knit booties for the baby…  Lets just say this, I knit a bootie for the baby.  A different pattern, but I knit one.  ONE.  I’m so not interested in knitting another.  But now, now I have to try again.  Adelle promises me that I will have fun.  I hope she is right.  Give me a purse to knit, and I’m in heaven.  Give me foot wear, and I suck.

I got sick last week.  I didn’t think I was getting sick.  I thought I just had allergies.  But NO, I was totally wrong.  I was in bed all day Saturday and Sunday nursing a cold that I can take nothing for.  I totally sucked.  Today, I feel a million times better, thank doG.  Vicks vapor rub really does work well.  I was impressed.

This week I’m in Seattle, at EDUCAUSE.  I’m excited to be out of town, but I’m lonely without my man.  He is joining me late Thursday night, and we will be spending the weekend here.  I think we will be going over the border into Canada…  John is excited to get another stamp in his passport.  You know this will be the 3rd country we have visited in the past year?  Aren’t we crazy folks?

Did I mention that my secret pal loves Ireland?  Do you know how much I LOVE Ireland?  I’d live there, if John would let us.  He prefers somewhere else.

Ok, I need to go to bed, but the baby is kicking me.  Kicking makes it very hard to sleep.  I promise pictures over the weekend.  Seriously, John is bringing the cable.
