I can not tell you how excited I was when Laurie from The Creative Escape let all her old designers know that she needed help with new displays for the store. I've been kind of reclusive since LOAD, well, we all know how I love LOAD. There have been so many problems at home. Honestly, we switched schools yet again, and I don't know how, but our problems are seemly... Gone. Yep, gone. It's crazy, and my petty cash pot is empty, but Sean is finally THRIVING. Finally. I went into the … [Read more...]
Scrapbook Island DT Project Oct/Nov 2012
This month, I got a bulging pizza box. It was beyond bulging. It was a great big bulging pizza box. Inside were the AWESOME Studio Calico Wonderland papers and embellishments. Then, I saw what was causing the bulge... A beautiful Handbook with chevrons... And 5 packages of inserts. What I really saw was a December Daily project staring back at me. I was overwhelmed. December Daily's are time consuming. And knowing I wanted to do my own, and how much time it was going to take... Oh … [Read more...]
September Design Team Project
This month I was so lucky to get two (2) projects. Queen & Co. Magic Memories and Simple Stories Harvest Lane. Let's start with our Queen & Co. Disney project... It was so fitting with my recent trip to Disneyland. Honestly, I should have posed the pictures. This time we decided to really use the Disney photographers. Some times we don't, but I really wanted a Christmas picture, so I said that every time we saw a photographer we should get our pictures taken. So, we did. We got … [Read more...]
August Scrapbook Island Design Team Project
This month I was lucky to get Authentique "Curiosity" in my design team box. It's a really cute line, and I love the teal and yellow with the gray, black, and cream. I was given a really cute little mini book to work with by October Afternoon. I really loved the "PLAY" that was laser cut in the front of the book. I thought that the best way to deal with it, and ensure that it was in focus was to paint it a gray color. I then backed it with the teal. It still seemed dark, so I filled it with … [Read more...]

I’m saw these little critters and I was absolutely in love. So uber cute, I decided to focus my whole design around this sticker! Here is the whole LO: The left side: The right side: You know, I can tell you that sometimes I get these boxes and I get such a mind … [Read more...]

December box of yumminess
Being on the design team at Scrapbook Island has been a blessing. It really has. I love that I’m making scrapping friends, but more than that, I feel like I’m really challenging myself. I get products that maybe I would never have purchased, and I’m making fun things with them. For November, I received the BoBunny Snowfall Collection. Every page had glitter. I never use glitter. I get really confused with it, and think that it’s too blingey. So… It was really a challenge. I had a … [Read more...]
My first Make & Take at Scrapbook Island
It’s been a while since I’ve posted, and boy do I have a ton to share. I’ve been chosen to be on the design team at my LSS, Scrapbook Island. Let me tell you that I have been swamped since I started. But, I digress… What I really would like to show you is the UBER cute make and take I taught last weekend. It’s an accordion minibook that I made, inspired by Amy Heller. Originally, I had a different back, but Laurie and I worked together and … [Read more...]
