i decided a long time ago, ok, well maybe about the time that i started writing this blog, that i was only going to wear dresses/skirts to work. I didn’t actually have a lot of dresses, but i do have a bunch of skirts. so, i’ve been on a dress buying spree as of late. I bought a few before my mom came to visit. one of them, no one likes. ok, well i like it. but everyone else thinks it is just too bright. it’s really 1960’s styling… polyester blend with a v-neck collar. black background with variations of pink and white. really, i do like it. but, i’ve decided that since no one else does, i’m going to return it.
so, last night, after girls night out, andrea and i went to macys for a second. we really didn’t need anything. at least i didn’t really need anything. but then i saw a dress that i liked. so, i had to try it on. in all fairness, missey andrea had been trying on skirts and shirts. no big deal… i should get to try on a dress, don’t you think?
so the dress, stretch cotton, white back ground with light pink and orange stripes. the stripes are on the diagonal, with some gathering in the chest… mom, remember the dress i made for myself, pleats on the diagonal at the bust in a v like formation? that’s the front of this dress. the skirt has a bit more flair than an a-line skirt. more bounce… sleaveless again. don’t know why i’ve been picking sleaveless dresses as of late, but i have. gross-grain ribbon around the waist. missey andrea said that i needed to buy the dress. it really does look nice on me…
i’m thinking, ok well it is 25% off. and the ticket price was $69. then i remembered that connie gave me a gift certificate to macys for $25 and i actually had it in my wallet! so, i got a new dress for $31.02. and since i have to return one, i’m going to come out very much ahead in this shopping situation.

Look who’s talking…
