the question of my moment is, do i link to my blog in my new navigation? i have been contemplating it. as you might could tell, i’ve not done it as of yet. why? because for some strange reason, when i tell a new guy my full name, they decide that they will search for me on google, or yahoo, or whatever their search engine of choice is. i don’t mind that they find this… ok for the most part i don’t. but i do mind that they don’t feel the need to tell me they read it.
i finally cornered the new boy about it. he likes seeing his nickname in lights. wait, he doesn’t have a nickname yet. he didn’t like that i told him that i knew how often he was visiting my site (aren’t logs great). so when i launched 75% of the redesign, he informed me that the link to my journal wasn’t there. hmmm, i said to him. i didn’t know that. yeah right. i knew. i designed the page.
missey andrea says that as long as i’m not looking for a job, it’s not a problem to link to my journal. she is right, but i’m thinking that i’m not looking to make this easy for potential dates to find out about me. i’m thinking that they should at least get to know me in person before they go and read this.
do you have any suggestions?
