gilroy!

ok, so do you know how long it has been since i went to gilroy to go shopping? ages! the last time i went, i think i was with anne, before she was pregnant… wow, has it really been a year? i think maybe it has. anyway, on that trip, i bought 2 skirts at eddie bauer outlet each at $9.99. needless to say, i was pretty proud of myself.

this trip, again I go to the eddie bauer outlet store. now, i know about how the eddie bauer outlet store works… all the stuff made for the outlet is up in the front of the store. all the stuff that was in the mall, at the full price store, in the back. so, straight to the back i walk. i start on the dress rack… and there i find a cute little black and white ginham dress, i wish there had been more dresses, but i only like short dresses now days, so there is no point looking at long ones.

i then see the skirt rack. cool! lots of cute looking skirts. i start peeking at the skirts, and then look up to see if they are 60% off like the dress. NOPE! the sign reads, “Manager’s Special NOS Skirts $9.99”. from all my vw days, i know that nos = new old stock. and i start pulling out every single short skirt in my size. 5 skirts in all went into the dressing room. there was only one that i decided that i didn’t need. so, i bought 4 skirts for $39.96. but then, it really does get better. i have a coupon for $10 off if you spend $75. I got myself up to $75.36 (including tax) and the sales girl let me use the coupon! can you believe it. i purchased 3 halter tops, 4 skirts and 1 dress for $65.36. can you say BARGAIN!

i’m so proud of myself. now i just wish that i could find cool shirts for the same bargain basement prices.
