so, i didn't tell you how bad it was... his mouth is numb. so, around his lips, his teeth, his tongue... he is talking a bit funny. he has double vision in his right eye... four fingers on his right hand are numb, but he can move them. he is walking a bit crooked, and is refusing most help. we were lucky. my uncle sig had a massive stroke in his early 40's. he completely lost the use of the right side of his body. he couldn't speak, walk or care for himself. he was never himself after … [Read more...]

first off... thank you for all the well wishes... it's been a crappy week, and it was nice to know that people were thinking of me. i've been on call for jury duty all week. lucky for me, it seems that santa clara county just wanted to have me call them 3 times a day for the whole week. as of right now, i have to call one more time and i'm free for 4 more years or so. in some ways, it was nice to have jury duty this week. it really grounded me. i couldn't get too out of it, because in 4 … [Read more...]
