party mix and soup

i’m still not over my cold. i’ve got these lovely headaches now, and hot and cold flashes. yesterday, i left at 3. i just wanted to take a nap. did i take a nap? no. i went and got domestic.

i made chicken stock on monday night. last night, i made chicken noodle soup. although i didn’t add enough spices, i thought it came out ok. then i decided that i needed to deal with all the open chex cereal boxes i had left over from my chex mix cravings in december. i whipped together a batch of party mix, then put the leftovers in tupperware so that it wouldn’t go stale on me. i’ll be making another batch this weekend.

i also cleaned out the fridge and threw stale stuff away. it now looks like i never eat. there is barely any food left in the kitchen. that’s fine. i’m by myself anyway. and daisy is supposed to be on a diet. so we don’t need a bunch of food.

so, instead of resting, i nested. go figure.
