LOAD514 – Day Fourteen, Bye-Bye Wiggly Tooth

My goodness...  Sometimes I love the prompts, sometimes no.  Today, it was "sick day."  Now, I've done sick day LOs.  I did my mom sick.  I've done me sick.  I've done my son taking his allergy meds in the bathtub.  And, honestly, I did more than one December Daily page of me sick.  I'm not really feeling sick.  So, bye-bye sick day, hello wiggly tooth! May 14, 2014 my son lost his first tooth.  It has been "wiggly" for almost 6 weeks.  The big boy tooth was already as tall as his baby teeth, … [Read more...]

LOAD514 – Day Twelve, just too small…

Today's prompt...  Seeds of the future.  Hmph.  I thought about this all day long.  Really I did.  I did a LO about what I wanted to be when I grew up.  There are no pictures of me crafting, of me with dolls, of me doing much of anything...  Unless I was with a camera, which I talked about yesterday. So, at 8:00pm last night, I was sitting on the couch, with a very nice headache.  I got up, went to my desk, and held up two pictures.  One was Sean at Disneyland with Pluto.  The other with Sean … [Read more...]

Pre-K Crafts for Old Orchard K1 class

One of things I love about Sean's new school is...  Miss Katie!  She is so patient and really would love parent participation.  One thing I really wanted to be able to participate in is Sean's Halloween Party.  But because I drove to the Pumpkin Patch last week, I had to give up volunteering Wednesday. But, one thing I can do is plan their crafts!  So craft number one...  A spooky egg carton spider with pipe cleaner legs.  What an easy craft.  I cut the egg cartons apart, added 8 holes on … [Read more...]

Mohawk time!

Sometimes I wonder about my boy.  He has stopped wanting baths, and wants showers.  No biggie.  It's just someone has to be in there with him.  Normally I let John take care of it, but this week, I did it.  When I wash his hair, I like to give him what I call a sudsy mohawk.  When we showered this time, he wanted to keep the mohawk after the shower was over.  This is what we ended up with.  I'm thinking he is ready for his own band...  What a guy! … [Read more...]

What happens at 3:00 am

So, Sean has been sick.  He had this fever that spiked at 104, but stayed around 102 for most of the week.  Last night the fever broke about 9:00 pm.  At 3:00 am, Sean awoke, and wanted mommy to hold him and help him sleep.  John tried to do this for him, but no avail.  I got up, rocked him back to sleep, and then went to put him back in his crib.  Yeah right.  He cried some more, and then I said to myself, the fever is gone, why are John and I playing these night-night games? Back in the … [Read more...]
