So, let me tell you about stomach flu!

Did you know that when you get stomach flu you can’t eat? You don’t really even want to eat. It’s quite interesting. I’ve not eaten much but soup, crackers and mini bagels since Saturday. I’m guessing I’ve had all of 1500 calories since then. It’s only that much because i’m drinking sport drinks that have calories associated with them.

On Monday, I had my annual. My doctor said, “Are you sure you want to do this?” My reply was, “Do you know how long it takes to get into see you?” I had lost 4 lbs at that point, with all my clothes on in the middle of the afternoon. As of this morning, I’ve lost another 3. I’ve now lost 7 lbs in the last week. You know what sucks so bad about this? I’m going to gain it all back as soon as I start eating. Not that I really want to eat.

I’m back to work for a while today. I don’t think I’m going to be here very long. I’m already really tired. It took me almost 20 mintues to walk from the parking garage to the office. Honestly, I’m not looking forward to the walk back.

  1. Glad you’re feeling at least a little bit better smile

  2. I am somewhat jealous of you wink
A couple years ago when I had a similar flu, I couldn’t keep anything down, and my appetite went to hell. I lost probably 10 pounds, at least. Granted, some of it was water weight, but still!

I have told Jason that I would love to get the stomach flu about 5 times a year to help regulate my weight. Heheh. Or I suppose I could go get myself a ringworm or something insane like that.  Anyway, hope you feel better soon smile

  3. oi. You’re supposed to rest when you’re sick even though being in the house makes you crazy!
    I need to call you.

  4. Eeek, how did I miss this flu thing? I’m assuming (hoping) you’re fine now. Sorry you were sick. :(
