Oooh, it’s Lawn Fawn’s Snow Day!

I can not tell you how excited I was when Laurie from The Creative Escape let all her old designers know that she needed help with new displays for the store.  I've been kind of reclusive since LOAD, well, we all know how I love LOAD.  There have been so many problems at home.  Honestly, we switched schools yet again, and I don't know how, but our problems are seemly...  Gone.  Yep, gone.  It's crazy, and my petty cash pot is empty, but Sean is finally THRIVING.  Finally. I went into the … [Read more...]

Thank You card for K2

As the "coordinator" for the K2 graduation party, I have to well, coordinate the party.  This includes getting the cards together for all the teachers that work in Sean's classroom.  There are 6 of them. So, I went to Michaels, thinking I would find some inspiration, before I walk over to Scrapbook Island to get some apple stuff.  I found these totally cute Recollections frames for the new Fuji Film Polaroid cameras.  I was thinking these would be really cute as a card!  So I picked them up, … [Read more...]

Gossamer Blue September Kit

How fun is Lori's new kit club Gossamer Blue!  I met Lori years ago at National Scrapbook Day at Scrapbook Island.  I was new to scrapbooking, and to my delight, she and her friend Debbie sat at my table.  They both worked on projects, while I worked on LOs, but I could see how creative she was.  Shortly there after she joined Lilly Bee's design team.  She was talking about doing a kit club way back then, and I'm so pleased that she finally has! My first take, I was trying to do a Pink … [Read more...]

Early morning birthday card

Yesterday was Lucy’s birthday.  I thought I would make a card for her, and drop it off at the Island.  So, this morning I got all of my extras from my latest design team and made a card! I’m so happy with the results.  On the inside I used a Hero Art’s “happy birthday” stamp.  I hope it’s dry for tonight! I just have to say, I love, love, love Glossy Accents.  I put a thick coat all over that little sticker, popped it up on pop … [Read more...]

SI Make & Take July 20!

On July 20th, I’ll be doing a Make & Take at my favorite place to be, Scrapbook Island.  If you haven’t visited the Island, you really need to.  And what a better day to go than July 20th, where I will be teaching a Make & Take.  For $4, you get to learn a new technique, and then when you are finished, you get a $4 store credit!  It’s like a free project! So, I watch Scrap Time and last week, I think, Christine showed us a technique with black gesso and Dylusions Mists.  I said to … [Read more...]

Operation Write Home

My besties and I got together and had our own little over night crop…  Instead of doing layouts, I decided to make cards for Operation Write Home.  Scrapbook Island is going to act as a collection point, and I thought, I can make cards!  So here you go…  What I am sending to the troops! … [Read more...]

A new card!

After finding that my scrap bag (and I’m pretty sure that that isn’t all) was thrown away by the cleaning people, I’ve been staying away from my crafting station.  But after my class at Scrapbook Island with May Flaum, I had so many new supplies I decided that I needed to at least clean up. After a bit of cleaning, the scrap bag did not turn up (nor did the other bag that I think is missing).  But,  I looked through the kits that May gave us on Sunday and said, I should make a card for Susan … [Read more...]
