I’m going to write about knitting

I have not necessarily decided to blog again, but I have decided that I have time to knit again.  And I have decided to knit purses.  Why purses you ask?  Well, I love purses, and I love felting, and well, I’ve found that I have some extra time.  I’ve been riding the bus to work.  Not because I need to, I mean, I have three cars..  It’s just that I’m trying to lessen my carbon footprint, and more importantly, trying to lessen my stress level.

This whole wedding thing, well, lets just say, John really wanted it.  I wanted to get married someplace else.  DisneyLand, Vegas, someplace where people wouldn’t come, and honestly, I wouldn’t feel like I’m on display.  I hate being on display.  So, I’m a bit stressed.  I didn’t really think I was stressed.  But, one of my teeth really started hurting.  So, I went to the dentist, who told me I was clinching and grinding, and I needed to wear my night guard during the day.  Then he told me that weddings were such special events and really shouldn’t be stressed over.  Ok, I’m thinking…  Grad school WAS something I stressed about.

I graduated in May, THANK GOD, with a 3.97.  I got an A- in one class.  A class I found absolutely useless, and an utter waste of time.  The “-” came because I answered a question on the mid-term and on the final with the same answer.  Well, I figured they were the same question, why didn’t they deserve the same answer.  Thus, I got an A-.  I did pass the Portfolio portion on the first try, and passed the comprehensive exam as well.  That ALL was stressful.  Although, if you ask my adviser, I shouldn’t have been stressing.  It was all in my head.  He was right, it was.  I wish I had realized that when he first told me.  I didn’t.  Thus, PAINFUL teeth.

So…  Now the wedding is like 32 days away, I’m almost $10K in debt because of it (which is really the cause of the stress), and I might be pregnant.  So, I’m going to knit, on the bus, for the summer.

I’ve joined Summer KAL – CAL Purse Round-Up, which will force me to complete my projects.  I’m only going to work with yarn in my stash.  I know, sound unreasonable, but you should see my stash.  I can knit more than 20 purses with my stash (and at least 50 scarfs, and a few sweaters).  No worries there.  I’ve got one or two unfinished purses, as well as several that need to be felted.  I think it’s time to get to work.  I’m super excited about it.  And, more importantly, it has nothing to do with the wedding.  smile

I’ve posted the invitation…  Stephen did such a lovely job…  Don’t even consider crashing.  I so can’t afford it.  Enjoy!
