My poor ipod!

Today, it became official. I've filled my ipod. I'm not quite sure how it happend. I thought I had lots more space, but at 734 songs i have a mere 9.6 mb's left. Now, here I thought I was going to be able to put my full thousand songs on my poor little ipod. but no. It's just a mini, and apparently, it can't keep up with a very minor audiofile like me. The question now becomes, should I just keep the pretty pink ipod mini that I have come to know and love? Or should I put the poor small … [Read more...]

AM workout

Today the entire SJSU gymanstics team was in the gym. Boy howdy! If I didn't feel fat before, I certainly do now. But, I did keep up with the girl next to me. I think she was shocked. I wasn't. I've been doing this for over 2 months now. I can keep up with the best of them. Ok, granted I can't run, but you know. I haven't been on the scale since I got back from New York. I got on this morning. It's nice to know I didn't gain a pound, but I haven't lost one either. I've still got 5 … [Read more...]

CDX 2004: Here come some reviews!

I'm going to start showing you some of the awesome cd's I recieved from CDX 2004. I'm going to start with The Man From Zeno (from now on MFZ because the other is really too long to type, he is also formerly known as Astrofiend). {I have to give MFZ his props here. I have forgotten to give him credit for several songs I used on my entry this year. He went beyond the call of duty to get those songs to me, and then he even gave me some new music by artists I didn't know just for fun. I think … [Read more...]

Fly, be free!

So this morning was like just about every other morning. I got up, walked Daisy and made sure I had everything I needed for work. I then packed everything up and went to go work out. I had an excellent workout. I was going really fast, I had my eighty's blend volume three going on my ipod, and I got to watch the skull cap boy working out just steps from me. I really couldn't ask for more. Then I took my shower, dried my hair... and realized the unthinkable. I forgot my bra. I know, I … [Read more...]

Gwen’s Famous Chocolate No-Bakes

Ok, I've got a million things to talk about today, but I'm going to start with my cookie recipe. This came to me from Mrs. Fuller. Thank you again Mrs. Fuller for the recipe. Chocolate No-Bakes 2 cups Sugar 1/2 cup Milk (Whole milk works best, but I've used all kinds and they all work) 1/4 cup Cocoa 1/2 cup Margarine (I always use BUTTER. I love Butter) 1/2 cup Peanut Butter (Smooth, I've not tried Chunky) 2 cups Quick Oats (Only Quick Oats, really!) 1 teaspoon Vanilla (I always put in a … [Read more...]

busy, busy, busy!

I swear to god that I haven't had a minute to myself in months. I'm hoping that Sunday I'll have a minute to myself. Tonight, I'm going to make my world famous chocolate no-bake cookies for the cd exchange. Actually, they are my ex's mothers famous cookies, but I make them so often, I've made them my own. Chocolate, sugar, vanilla, butter, milk, peanut butter and oatmeal. Just utterly yummy. Missey Andrea loves them, so I always make them for parties where she is in attendance. I'm so … [Read more...]

Boys at the gym

I think that going to the gym at SJSU is much more fun than going to the gym somewhere else. I mean look at who you get to watch... A bunch of guys in their early 20's, pumping iron, trying to look buff. This morning there was this guy who had some little bar bell in his hand. All of a sudden, he jumped into this John Travolta stance right out of Saturday Night Fever. I thought I was going to die laughing. Then he changed hands and did it with the other arm. He looked so funny! The guys … [Read more...]

Ren Fairre 2004

This weekend Miss Nikki and I went to the Ren Fairre down in Hollister. I have always wanted to go, but I've never really dated anyone who wanted to go with me. I asked Nikki and she said she would love to, and thus we did. We decided not to go in costume, simply because I don't have one. Granted, I've always wanted one, but I've never really had a reason to have one. I remedied that situation at the fairre. So, I had a lunch of a hunk of cheese and bread. Let me say, the best lunch ever. … [Read more...]

Do I really want a new house, HELLO?!?

My friend Anne is moving. She is getting a lovely home in Willow Glen. When I heard this, my little hampster started running around it's wheel. I said, hey, maybe I should buy Anne's house. So I brought the topic up to my mom, and to my delight, she said, "I think that is a GREAT idea!" Well, after reading up on California Real Estate tax law, I found out that I can't buy Anne's house. That was such a bummer. But, to my surprise, my mom is still interested in moving and buying something … [Read more...]
