So, today I’m out looking around trying to figure out what happened to Life As We Know it on ABC. I pretty much think it’s cancelled, but I’m not sure. Too bad. It was a really good show.
What I actually found was that ABC is putting out a new Little House on the Prairie. I’m really not sure how I feel about this. I grew up with Melissa Gilbert and Michael Landon. I’ve seen every episode more than once. I am even tempted to buy the entire series on DVD.
Now, I know they are not remaking the series. They have new scripts based upon the books. Going back to the roots of the books. I loved the books. Read each and every one. I had the paperbacks, and by the time I gave them away the pages were tattered and dirty from love.
I just don’t know what to think. I’m kinda confused. I curious to say the least. I think I’m even going to set up tivo to get the whole series. I know, it’s silly. But it kinda feels like I’m disrespecting my memories… Who knows. It feels silly just talking about it.

I did not know about this! I know I will watch it or TiVo it but still I highly doubt it will EVER come close to the old shows I loved back in the day. Just like you I have seen EVERY show and I still have my books somewhere at my parents house. I am so glad you posted on this!
Hi also grew up on Little House, totally LOVED the original series, bought some of them on DVD at Costco and watch the reruns on TV Land whenever they are on. I know just how you feel, how could a remake ever compare??
I thought the same thing! Why can’t Hollywood come up with quality shows instead of recycling and RUINING our cherished TV memories? God forbid they try to screw with Wonder Woman!
