Ok, so we all know that I’m spear-heading the Spoil-A-Blogger project (currently one month in)… But I have a SP5. So, I’m going to answer some questions for him/her here. If my Spoil-A-Blogger wants to use this information, feel free. 
1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?
Hello?!? I’m a yarn whore. Seriously. It’s bad. I do get higher quality yarns for the most part. I’m a known quanity at my LYS.
2. Do you spin? Crochet?
Nope, and nope. I’m tempted to take a crochet for knitters class, but with Grad school, I was too busy. I think I’ll take one one this summer.
3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)
Smoke is just icky. I don’t do perfume. Roses are a really bad thing, my nose hates them. Cats do the same thing. Eww on tropical smells and lillies.
I like vanilla… That is a good smell. Rain. Also good.
4. How long have you been knitting?
Off and on since I was ten. But really on for the past 5 years.
5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
You know it, look under “wishing” up near the top of the page.
6. What’s your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)
Back to that vanilla. Oh, and bread or cookies baking. Yummy.
7. Do you have a sweet tooth?
I adore milk chocolate. My favorite candies right now are Butterfinger Crisp Mini’s and the Take Five bar. Mmmm. I need to go to the bookstore. I’ll be right back.
8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?
I am known to scrapbook, and I like to decorate my new house. I also enjoy sewing.
9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
Eighties. Matchbox Twenty, John Mayer, Natalie Merchant, MiniBar, Lisa Loeb, Keen… Think VH1, and you will be fine. Only not on heavy metal day, or rap day.
10. What’s your favorite color? Or–do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can’t stand?
Pink, pink and more pink. But, I like most colors. I really like turquoise right now paired with hot pink. I also like neutrals.
11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
Just me, my mom and Daisy (the wonder dog!)
12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know)
To finish the poncho i’m knitting with soy silk and pom-pom yarn. To get a puppy to keep Daisy company. To find a man with the skills to love me, just the way I am.
13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?
I enjoy wools. I love Rowan Kid Soft, actually, I like most Rowan yarns.
14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
I used to say cottons, but they are ok now… Still not my favorites. I don’t like knitting with eyelash yarns (I did a couple of scarfs with them, and eww, that’s enough for me).
15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s?
Obsession? I’m not obsessed with anything right now. Not even adding to my stash.
16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
A baby sweater made with Schaefer Elaine. I’ve been knitting a bunch of blankets lately, but not my favorite.
I also love to make felted purses.
17. What are you knitting right now?
Hmm. Two baby blankets, a baby sweater, a poncho, two felted purses.
18. What do you think about ponchos?
A cute item of clothing designed to keep the shoulders warm while allowing a full range of motion for your arms.
19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?
Circular all the way.
20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
Bamboo. That’s it. That’s all.
21. Are you a sock knitter?
My SP4 sent me all the makings for socks. I tried, 3 whole rows. Eww. I just don’t think it’s for me.
22. How did you learn to knit?
I throw. My mom taught me.
23. How old is your oldest UFO?
A year. {hangs head in shame}
24. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird?
Yeah… This kind of stuff really isn’t my cup of tea. But I adore the San Jose SaberCats Arena Football team.
25. What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas, christmas, christmas!
26. Is there anything that you collect?
Me? Collect things? I love vintage patterns. I collect 1950’s dinner ware (Tickled Pink/Heavenly Days by Vernon is my pattern). I love mid-century things.
27. What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
I think the answer to this is, what don’t I get. I get everything. I adore magazines. Vogue Knitting, FC Easy Knitting, Creative Knitting, Knitters Magazine, Interweave Knits. I pick up all the K2’s that I find. But, SP5, I love Rebecca and I don’t have any. I would if I could get a subscription…
Oh yeah, I don’t care for Knitters Digest. Don’t know why.
28. Any books out there you are dying to get your hands on?
Knit One, Felt Too. And that new Poncho book.
