Visiting the blog

So, I have a San Jose visitor. At least I think it’s a San Jose visitor… One that uses XP and Firefox, and has a cable modem. This person is visiting me twice a day. They just visited about 8 minutes ago. I would imagine I’m going to have another one by morning.

See, normally I’d be irritated. I’m not going to say I don’t care. Obviously I care. I wouldn’t say something about it if I didn’t care. I’m just thinking if this person really wants to know what is going on in my life, why not pick up the phone. I have a land line and a cell phone. The land line was forwarded to the new house, and the cell phone has not changed. The only thing that has really changed (besides my house) is my ISP. I haven’t figured out how to make someone spam at the server level yet. Maybe Christine will tell me how now that I’ve said something.

Let me tell you, as some of you know, there is a TON of shit going on in my life right now. More than I care to share here, more than I need to share here. While I have been pretty forth coming in the past about things, it’s been harder to do lately. I know Snidge has been having very similar issues.

I started this as basically an open love letter. It turned into a companion and confidant, then a way for people who claimed to love me to get inside my head and use my thought processes to their advantage. Since then, it has morphed into this place where I share tid-bits of my life that I think might be fun for others or ideas just need to let go. I knew I wanted Susanna to see pictures of my vacation, so I posted them. I want to talk about BB6, so I do (but not enough). I’m frustrated, I say so.

So, my San Jose cable reader… You really want a Gwen reality fix do me a favor and pick up the phone. I really do want to hear from you. Seriously. Besides, interactive is much more exciting, don’t you think?

Yeah, I know… Don’t feed the lurkers. They love seeing their names in lights, but I hate it, you know?

Comments

  1. I so know how you feel. There’s only one person in the world who would be visiting my site from an Air Force base in Greenland, and he visits regularly. I try not to let it affect what I write, but I don’t want to hear from this person and it kinda freaks me out that he can follow along with my life.

But otherwise, since I’m not blessed to know you in real life, I was hoping your life had calmed down and things were going well. I’m sorry they aren’t, but hopefully lots of Daisy snuggles help keep you happy.

  2. DUDE!  Do we live the same life!!

Someone at the LTC is visiting my blog now…

  3. Argh, doesn’t this shit just drive you INSANE? Been there, done that, and even posted about it. (And the IP address from my university’s town keep showing up on my site.)

  4. I hate lurkers that won’t leave a simple HI comment.  Common courtesy, you know?  Even a “God bless you” if I write about sneezing.
