scrapping this week…

So, lucky me made some scrapping time this week.  I’m beginning to get frustrated with myself because it’s taking me so long to make LO’s.  I think I should be able to get 2 done in an evening.  Nope.  From 8 pm until almost 11, I’m working on one thing.  Maybe it’s the television…  Maybe it’s stopping to take a fudgecicle break…  Maybe it’s talking to my husband rather than working.  I don’t know.

What I do know is that I’m really happy that I’m using these kits up!  I’ve got several that I’ve not even touched, and yet another box coming.  I’ve stopped ordering the more patterned paper and the patterned paper from the other kits.  That is helping.  But I’m still using my March and April kits and adding my own letters (you know I love letter fonts).  Besides, I’m not really in love with the letters that came with the March and April kits.

First comes Petal Pusher…  I love this.  I wasn’t sure that I did, but the more I look at it the more I do.  I think part of the reason I love it so much is that I remember taking these pictures.  I was so excited for Sean to have a big wheel.  My sister used to love her big wheel, and I wanted Sean to have the same memories.  The first box had parts missing.  The second box had other parts missing.  So, we had to buy two big wheels to get one working one.  Then John went out there and tried so hard to make Sean petal…  He was having nothing to do with it.  The funny thing is, he still doesn’t really care to petal.

I used mostly the Studio Calico March kit this time.  Cosmo Cricket patterned paper, Bazzill Cardstock.  American Crafts ribbon, letters and flair.  Studio Calico wood veneer and stamp…  A Maya Road pin completes the LO.

It’s cute, right?

I’ve not done a double LO in a long time.  John was surprised when I got started.  But the subject really did require a double, don’t you think?  I’m not sure it’s done, and I really need some journaling…  But here is where I’m heading with First Hair Cut.  Actually, I am feeling bad that I didn’t add the picture of me crying in this LO.  I cried for most of the hair cut.  It was like my baby wasn’t a baby anymore.  It was just so sad.  Funny thing is, we still don’t cut his hair very often.  He has had 4 hair cuts, or is it three.  I think John took him once with out me…  I just can’t remember.

Anyway, Cosmo Cricket, Jillybean Soup and 7 Gypsies patterned paper.  Bazzill Cardstock.  Basic Grey chipboard.  Stickles.  smile  I never use Stickles, but those scissors needed it, don’t you think?  I do feel like I’m not done, so if you have a suggestion on how to make it better, I’d love to hear it!

Happy Crafting!
