i've been knitting like a fiend! i've finished my scarf for the get crafty scarf drive. i'm so pleased with it. i used 4 different colors... bright blue, light green, deep blue and grey. i've been thinking about doing some blocking on it, but it looks good just the way it is. i'll ask the rocker to take a picture of it. i've got a digital camera, but i've lost the flash path thing. bummer. last night the rocker and i went to see maximum indifference. they are not really a metal band... … [Read more...]

i finally finished the shawl that i decided to make the rockers mother for christmas. i think it turned out well. its well over 6.5 feet long. i didn't think it was possible for me to make something that long, but it did. i can not tell you how happy i am with my casting off. the widths of the top and the bottom are exactally the same. i don't think i've ever done that before. i'm super pleased. i used lion brand homespun and size 15 needles. it looks almost like a blanket. i'm still … [Read more...]
