Tonight I had the absolute pleasure of watching 30 Days on fx. I really enjoyed Supersize Me!, so when I saw the promo’s for Morgan Spurlock’s new show, I set up the TiVo.
What a GREAT show! The premise is incredible. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes for 30 days. The first episode featured Morgan and his girlfriend living on minimum wage for 30 days. It was an absolute eye opener. When I was unemployed for 2 years, I had a ton of help. While I made no money, I had a mom who was willing to help me out. She paid all the bills, while I tried unsuccessfully to find a job. I never did what these two people did. Honestly, I don’t think I ever could. How people live like that day by day, it is so hard to comprehend…
The show was absolutely thought provoking. I am amazed that they could make that happen, living on minimum wage for 30 days. I don’t think I ever could. Honestly, it made me feel really guilty for spending all that money on shoes this month.
If you come across the show, give it a watch. You won’t be disapointed.
see the problem is I don’t want to think about that….I guess I’m just too selfish. I worry about being in that situation daily myself and to actually see it on TV…well it’s just not for me.
I’m sorry I missed 30 Days. I’ve been looking forward to it, but this has been a crazy week and I forgot to record it. I’ll have to make sure the DVR is set next time and look out for the minimum wage episode in reruns.

Dang, I don’t get that channel. I saw Spurlock’s fiance on How Do I Look and would have loved to see her on that show too.
Damn, I missed it, I made a mental note to watch that! I guess next time I’ll use a post it.
Shoot, I meant to Tivo that. Oh well, I’ll have to catch the next one. It looks interesting!
