I hate being it!

The hippie tagged me! Why, oh why? I hate being tagged. I have 7.35 gigs of music on my work computer. That is 1,436 songs. I have a TON more at home, but that is at home, and I'm at work, so this is what you get, The last CD I bought was Deke Dickerson, Live on WFMU, you know you want it. You know you do. It's Deke for gods sake, and what a god he is! The last CD I acquired had to be the Tuckers 2004 Christmas CD. However, I'm hoping to get one soon from the Bradburys, the founder … [Read more...]

Wanna know why I laughed that my dad’s car got crashed?

I asked him if he wanted to have dinner Saturday night. I'm kinda feeling bad I didn't do anything for him on fathers day, so I thought we could have dinner. {My dad didn't even tell me he was in town for fathers day, so I shouldn't feel that bad} Wednesday, I called, he said, "Sounds fine... I'll call you later and confirm." Friday around noon I get a message from him saying that he was at DFW wating for his flight, which was delayed, to Detroit. No explanation or anything... Just that … [Read more...]

Wanted people to visit me in California!

I've been reading over at Snidget about her travels to meet other bloggers, then Cheeky did it too. How is it that I get in on this action? I want to travel to meet you guys! Or you can come visit me... The room is ready, remember? Ok, so I don't drink, but I get drunk by proxy, I promise! I promise a good time will be had by all, ok, once I get over the shyness thing. … [Read more...]

My dads fathers day…

Included this nice little incident... Apparently one of his neighbours hit his parked car, drove over his front lawn, hit a retaining wall, and broke the water main to his house. Not too bad, I think. I remember when I was 16, and I crashed my 1979 Buick Opel. He didn't talk to me for 3 months. When the neighbour came to his door telling him that there had been an accident, he hugged her and said (about his 2001 jaguar), it's just a car. You know, I would have loved to had that kind of dad … [Read more...]

For real, my spoil-a-blogger spoiled me!

Now, I've been a very bad girl. I got my spoil-a-blogger gift on Wednesday, and I haven't written about it. I wish I had a good excuse, but I don't. I took my camera to work with me every day, but didn't download the picture... You know, I was working, ok only kinda working... Needless to say, there really is no excuse. However, I wanted you all to see that my spoil-a-blogger pal loves me very, very much. She wrote me the sweetest note telling me that I wasn't taking proper care of … [Read more...]

30 Days is SO worth your time!

Tonight I had the absolute pleasure of watching 30 Days on fx. I really enjoyed Supersize Me!, so when I saw the promo's for Morgan Spurlock's new show, I set up the TiVo. What a GREAT show! The premise is incredible. Put yourself in someone else's shoes for 30 days. The first episode featured Morgan and his girlfriend living on minimum wage for 30 days. It was an absolute eye opener. When I was unemployed for 2 years, I had a ton of help. While I made no money, I had a mom who was … [Read more...]

Kickboxing and unpacking books, which is worse?

Tonight I had my second kickboxing class. I figured out the routine after just one class, so this class was not so bad. I will tell you, it is a damn good workout. It makes me feel like the workouts I've been doing in the morning are worthless. That however, could be a good thing. I think I like kickboxing... a LOT! So, when I got home from kickboxing, I decided the smart thing to do would be to bring more boxes of books into the house and load them into the new IKEA bookcases. I have … [Read more...]
